About Me
Hi! My name is Amanda, and I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor. I’m so glad you’re here!
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, and adults from a variety of backgrounds. I have experience working with individuals and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational issues, life transitions, and trauma. I have also received training in sandtray therapy.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard and valued. While I tend to incorporate psychodynamic, family systems, and attachment theories into my work, I am also open to including other theories and techniques in sessions. Each client is unique, and I tailor my approach to fit your needs and goals.
I know what it’s like to be a client myself, so I want to acknowledge the courage that it takes to reach out for help. I truly love this work and count it a privilege to be able to sit with clients and listen to their stories. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
